ABOUT VMR

We believe great fashion deserves to be discovered—wherever it comes from. That’s why we’re continually seeking culture-shaping designers from around the world, with a focus on female founders and underrepresented voices whose work is defining the future of fashion.

OUR STORY

Founded in 2013, VMR is a luxury women’s boutique on Chicago’s iconic Oak Street, nestled between Loewe and Bottega Veneta. The vision of Tina Kourasis, a former attorney with an encyclopedic knowledge of fashion, VMR is devoted to seeking out what’s next. Today, the boutique offers an ever-evolving edit of designers from across the globe, with a particular passion for female-founded and underrepresented brands whose work deserves a wider audience.

Long before VMR, Tina spent 15 years practicing law. But fashion was always calling. Inspired by runway shows, international fashion weeks, and a belief that Chicago deserved a more distinctive retail experience, she left her legal career to create the boutique she wished existed—one built around discovery, individuality, and a genuinely personal approach to luxury.

Over the years, VMR has proudly introduced many now-established designers to the Chicago market, including The Attico, Off-White, Palm Angels, Y/Project, Brandon Maxwell, and Alex Perry. Today, Tina and her team continue to champion exceptional collections from around the world, bringing Chicago clients a point of view they won’t find anywhere else.

More than a place to shop, VMR is a place to explore. Come in, slow down, discover something unexpected, and experience fashion that feels personal, considered, and effortlessly cool.

“I realized that if I wanted a career in fashion in Chicago, I was going to have to create it myself.”

— Tina Kourasis
